We have been hard at work so far this summer writing songs for the new record. We have a couple songs that we are just feeling comfortable enough playing live. Want to hear them? Our show July 14th at The Gig in Hollywood will be broadcast live on their website! Go to their website that night to see us perform. They will also have it archived if you miss it.
On a totally different note, this months issue of Truckin' Magazine has a picture of us in it from a show we played at Lake Havasu in March. If you are familiar with any of the cars we drive, you would laugh at how ironic it is we are in a magazine like this (Sorry Dann!).

Thank you to all that came to the Derby Show! The support was awesome. We are planning and booking our summer and fall tours now so check back as dates will be up as we get them. News will be coming soon about our Vegas show next week at the Palms Casino's Rain Nightclub as well as the preview of National Lampoon's Cattle Call.

Change In Time for the Derby Show! Because of the club's double booking error our show has been moved from 11pm to 8:30pm. We know its early but they gave us an Unlimited Free Guest List. Email us at info@butanemusic.com to get on it. There is a rumor going around that we might be playing a new song too.

Though we have been home for a week, things are still happening from our last tour. We were interviewed by NextBigHit.com and they just put us on thier most recent Podcast - Vol.111 (you can also Download or Stream it). They are also running a contest where the band who gets the Most Votes gets played on the Next Podcast. The show gets 25,000 listeners so it would be great if you could Hit Their Forum and Vote For Butane. Please, please, please.
Sorry, this kind of fell through the cracks, but Ted was the guest on the Kevin Bonani Show. If you want to Watch Ted be an ass and laugh a little then check this show out! Note:These shows are pretty funny in general. Check more out if you get a chance.

The Tour has been insane so far. We missed the FOX-7 show today. We broke down on Fort Stockton, TX and we got to Austin an hour late. In our race to get there on time, however, we slammed into a deer at 80 miles an hour at 4AM. Did we mention we broke down 4 times already? AAA tow drivers are our new group of friends. We also flew through an intersection in Phoenix going 30 miles an hour. Luckily we were able to avoid the other cars. Every day brings us a new crazy story. the FOX-7 News In The Morning has been cool enough to reschedule us for Friday March 17th. So if you thought you missed us today, you didn't. Well...you did, but you can see us Friday. Please keep coming back for more stories.
03-09-06
Another show added in Austin at the Blind Pig Pub for Thursday March 16th. Go to the Shows page for all the info.

We are going back on tour! We are lucky enough to have been invited to do a show at South By Southwest in Austin, TX. For those of you that aren't familiar with the festival, it is one of the very best music festivals in the US. And we will be doing some southwest dates en route to and fro. Please check out the Shows page as they will be posted when confirmed. Can't wait to see all your beautiful faces again.

Well...the inevitable happened in San Francisco. After the show, when we went to get the Taint, we found one of the windows smashed and a bunch of our stuff stolen. We won't go into detail, but after rifling through everything they took what they wanted and got away scott free. So...we put some pictures up on the Tour Pics Of The Day page. Never a dull moment on the road.

Warped Tour was incredible! The first day in Cincinnati was awesome! We got matched up on the same time slot as My Chemical Romance who was on a stage about 200 feet from us. That brought a lot of people closer to our stage that maybe wouldn't have heard us otherwise. We sold a lot of cds to new fans, signed a lot of autographs and talked to hundreds and hundreds of kids. Thanks MCR.
Chicago's day was crazy from the second we woke up. We made the horrible mistake of sleeping for a couple hours during the night and we arrived to Warped 10 minutes late for our load in time...which means we got cancelled! We begged and pleaded but it did no good. They let us in and let us set up our merch booth so our back up plan was to get as many kids to our booth to hear us as possible. An hour later Carmine comes running back to our tent yelling and waving his arms! Somehow he got the sound guys at our stage to push everyone's set and squeeze us in as the last band! Luckily, we hit it off with our sound guys (Mike and Anthony, you rock!) the day before and they loved our energy. There was a rapper before us and he did his thing as we set up. The second he said "Thank you, goodnight" we started and blazed through a quick set. We had the place packed with new fans that were screaming and jumping around like fish out of water. Again, the show was followed by tons of kids at our tent and autographs and pictures and just an amazing experience talking to every one we could.
Throughout our 3 days at Warped we got to meet lots of great people and amazing bands. We met MXPX, Fall Out Boy, The HorrorPops, Saosin, Halifax and even got to talk to our buddies Tim Armstrong and Skin Head Rob of The Transplants. Video footage is coming soon so check back. Special "Thanks" to Kevin Lyman (Warped Tour Owner), Sarah Saturday and Shannon.
We got to Minnesota and re-grouped and are coming back to LA starting Thursday. We have added shows for this Thursday in Minnesota, Saturday in Oklahoma City, Tuesday in Las Vegas and Wednesday in one of our favorite places in the world Boron, CA! More shows are being booked so check the Shows page for details.

WE'RE ON TOUR!!!!!
Finally the time came to actually jump in the RV ("The Taint"), and journey across the nation with the intent of spreading the jam. Our two nights in San Francisco were saturated with laughter, new friends, and of course two stages to conquer. First was the Cherry Bar, then the Red Devil Lounge. Both were very cool places with really great people. We spent the daytime on the streets, promoting and terrorizing.
Thanks to our friends that made those shows even more special by them being there.
Next we hit the road, a LONG anxious journey to Las Vegas. Rotating drivers at the wheel, we drove all night. The morning held an unexpected detour. The Taint gave us some problems but ended up giving us our most memorable moment thus far. We broke down on the 58 Freeway near a small town called Boron, California. Very small. Desert. We had The Taint towed to Mike's Automotive, and found out we needed a special part that wouldn't arrive till morning. This meant we had to cancel our show in Las Vegas. While dining at a local Pizza joint, Betty's Pizza, we met a handful of the local teenagers and made tons of new friends (Angel, Shawna, Justin, Kyle, Jenna, Clay, Tyler, so many more). We decided to play a show that night for them in the city park, and a local band we met would open up for us. Excitement filled the town, and the Butane camp. Touring is about the people you meet, and the memories you make - and this was gonna be a good one. After Carmine hit his strings just once, the local police showed up to stop the noise. They were very understanding about everything and somewhat "hinted" that we could play where no one could here us...THE DESERT!
We did exactly that! It turned into an amazing show in the middle of the desert next to the county line! Dust kicked up all over our gear, and headlights illuminated the "stage". Torch of Tears was the local band that rocked the desert before us. You'll see this footage in Episode 2. We truly felt like we changed the history of that town, and we know that we will never forget that experience. The next morning we had breakfast with our new friends, and they waved us goodbye as we headed down our road of unexpected happenings.
